Software for Municipalities and Field Teams

I build software for organizations that run field teams, bringing requests, work orders, maps, stock and reporting into one system. I bring the experience I gained building the architecture of Biocidal, which has run the vector control operations of several municipalities since 2020, to your field operations.

Who It Is For

  • Municipal Departments

Departments that work in the field, such as vector control, parks and gardens, sanitation, public works and municipal police.

  • Pest Control Companies

Companies that provide spraying and pest control services to municipalities or private clients.

  • Maintenance and Technical Service

Companies that dispatch repair, maintenance and installation teams to the field.

  • Landscaping and Infrastructure

Teams that manage job sites spread over a wide area on a map.

Sound Familiar?

  • Requests arrive scattered across phone calls, written petitions, email and social media.
  • Which team did what, and where, is only found out at the end of the day, by phone.
  • Material and pesticide stock does not match what was used in the field.
  • Reports for tenders and inspections are put together by hand every month and take days.

What I Build

  • Request Management

Requests from citizens and customers are collected in one place and recorded with their location.

  • Work Orders and Status Tracking

A request becomes a work order; it is assigned, carried out in the field and approved. Every step is recorded.

  • Maps and Area Management

Areas of responsibility, route planning and automatic matching of a location to its area ().

  • Field App

Teams see their jobs on their phones and enter the work done and the materials used from the field.

  • Stock and Custody

Warehouse, lot and expiry tracking; materials assigned to each team and reconciled with what was used in the field.

  • Reporting

Reports by province, district, area and team; output in the format the tender specification requires.

  • Permissions and Audit Trail

Permissions per role and action; a record of who changed what and when.

Why Work with Me

  • I built Biocidal’s architecture from scratch in 2020; it is used by several municipalities.
  • I know municipal workflows and the language of technical specifications.
  • design: the same system can serve several organizations while keeping their data separate.
  • Production experience with maps and spatial data (PostGIS).

Invoices are issued by my company, SDR Bilişim Hizmetleri Dijital Yazılım E-Ticaret Danışmanlığı İthalat İhracat Limited Şirketi.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work remotely?

Mostly, yes, and I work with clients in other countries and time zones. I am based in Mersin, Turkey (UTC+3); when the work requires it, we can also plan on-site meetings or working days.

How do you charge?

It depends on the type of work: a fixed project price for work with a clear scope (an architecture review, for example), a day rate for work whose scope will become clear over time (€600 per day (excl. VAT)), and a fixed monthly fee for ongoing work (such as a fractional software architect, a fractional CTO or maintenance). For a fractional architect or fractional CTO the fee is from €2,400 per month for 1 day a week (excl. VAT); for maintenance it is from €1,200 per month with 2 days included (excl. VAT); unused days do not roll over. Starting prices for the fixed-scope packages are listed on the packages page, in EUR and excluding VAT; I send the exact price in a written quote after our first call.

What are your payment terms?

Half of the fee is paid upfront when the work starts, and the other half on delivery.

Do you issue invoices?

Yes. Every piece of work is invoiced in EUR by my company in Turkey, SDR Bilişim Hizmetleri Dijital Yazılım E-Ticaret Danışmanlığı İthalat İhracat Limited Şirketi.

Do you sign a contract?

If you want one, yes: scope, delivery, fees and confidentiality are set out in a written contract. For work where you do not want a contract, the written quote and your approval apply.

Who owns the source code and the rights?

You do. Once payment is complete, the source code, the documentation and all rights to the software pass to you.

Will you sign a data processing agreement?

Yes. For work that requires me to access personal data, I sign a data processing agreement.

Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?

Yes. If you like, I can sign it before our first call, before we discuss any details of your project.

When can you start?

I can start a project with a clear scope within 1 week. We agree the exact date together on our first call.

Who works on my project?

I do, Umut Yerebakmaz, directly. I do not hand the work over to someone less experienced; you deal with the same person from the first call to delivery. For continuity I document every decision and technical detail and pass the knowledge on to your team, so the software does not depend on me.

Will you work with our existing software team?

Yes. As a fractional software architect I can work as part of your team: guiding architecture decisions, reviewing code, building the hard parts together and passing the knowledge on to the team. My aim is to strengthen your team, not to make it dependent on me.

What happens after the work is done?

I hand the software over to your team with its documentation, and run a knowledge transfer session that explains how the code and infrastructure work. If you like, we can continue with monthly support afterwards; I respond to support requests within 1 business day.

Let’s talk about your field operations. In a short call we can clarify where you stand today and what would work for you.
